Inga Leonova is a practicing architect, writer, and educator. She taught a course on Monotheism, Culture, and Sacred Space at the Boston Architectural College, and serves as a thesis advisor at the New England School of Art and Design. She is the author of several publications on Orthodoxy and cultural issues, including liturgical architecture and ecology.
Editorial Board
Liesl Coffin Behr holds a B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. She studied French at the Sorbonne, as well as courses in Philosophy and Theology at the Catholic Institute and St. Sergius Theological Institute in Paris.
Michael Berrigan Clark is a veteran educator and teacher of foreign languages. He holds a B.A. in Classics (University of Pennsylvania) and an M.A. in French (Middlebury College).
Joseph Clarke is an associate professor of art history at the University of Toronto. He holds a PhD from Yale University. He is the author of Echo’s Chambers: Architecture and the Idea of Acoustic Space (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2021).
Katherine Kelaidis is Resident Scholar at the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago. She is a professional historian, trained at the University of California at Berkeley and the University of London.

The Very Reverend Robert M. Arida is Rector and Dean of Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral (OCA) in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. Some of his published and unpublished articles and essays can be found on the HTOC website at www.holytrinityorthodox.org.
Sergei Chapnin was Managing Editor of the Journal of the Moscow Patriarchate until December 2015. From 2010–2014, he served as secretary for the Commission of the Moscow Patriarchate on Church, State, and Society. He is one of the founders of the Church Builders Guild and leads several projects on ecclesial arts as a board member, publisher, and editor.
The Reverend Dr. John Chryssavgis is an author and theologian who serves as Archdeacon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and theological advisor to the Ecumenical Patriarch. He is a clergyman of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Born in Australia, he graduated from Athens University and the University of Oxford. He has published over thirty books and numerous articles in several languages.
Nancy Forest is a Dutch-English literary translator. American by birth, she has been living in the Netherlands since 1982 with her husband, Jim Forest. The couple have six children and ten grandchildren. They became communicants in the Orthodox Church in 1988 and are members of the parish of St. Nicholas of Myra in Amsterdam, which is under the Moscow Patriarchate. Forest translates both fiction and non-fiction books, and she has done a great deal of translation work for the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. She has also translated art catalogues for various Dutch museums, including two for the Kröller-Müller Museum on the paintings and drawings of Vincent van Gogh.
The Very Reverend Dr. Cyril Hovorun is expert and contributor at Encyclopedia Britannica, Associate Dean of St. Ignatios Theological Academy (Sweden), Director of Research at the Institute of Theological Studies at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine), and Acting Director of the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Loyola Marymount University (USA). From 2007 to 2009, he chaired the Department of External Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. From 2009 to 2011, he was the first Deputy Chairman of the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Dr. Pantelis Kalaitzidis is the Director of the Volos Academy for Theological Studies. He has taught Systematic Theology at the Hellenic Open University, and at St Sergius Institute of Orthodox Theology in Paris, and has been a Research Fellow at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (Boston), Princeton Theological Seminary and Princeton University (New Jersey), DePaul University (Chicago), and KU Leuven (Belgium). He is serving as the editor of the series “Doxa & Praxis: Exploring Orthodox Theology” (WCC Publications). He is a member of the Scientific Board of the Review of Ecumenical Studies (Sibiu, Romania), of the Orthodox journal The Wheel (USA), and the Journal of Orthodox Christian Studies (John Hopkins University Press). Dr. Kalaitzidis is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Academy of Religion, of the International Association of Orthodox Dogmatic Theologians, the American Academy of Religion (AAR), and the Society of Christian Ethics (SCE). He is also co-Chair of the Political Theology group of the International Orthodox Theological Association (IOTA).
The Very Reverend Dr. Andrew Louth is Professor Emeritus of Patristic and Byzantine Theology, University of Durham, and from 2010–2014 was the first Visiting Professor of Eastern Orthodox Theology at the Amsterdam Centre for Eastern Orthodox Theology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His latest book, Modern Orthodox Thinkers: From the Philokalia to the Present, was published in 2015.
Nicholas Sluchevsky was President of the Stolypin Center (2011 to 2022), a Moscow-based non-profit specializing in rural development in Russia. Prior to its shuttering following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the Center also published four critically acclaimed books on key figures from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of Russian history. He is currently a Board member of RBR Books Inc., a US-based non-profit that since 1979 has published translations into Russian of religious books by the greatest Russian theologians of the 20th century. Mr. Sluchevsky also heads a development project known as ALyCE, focusing on creating navigation tools for working with archival information. He began his career as an electrical engineer working with the US Navy and Raytheon ESD, having graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Gayle E. Woloschak is currently Professor of Radiation Oncology at Northwestern University in Chicago and Adjunct Professor of Religion and Science at the Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago, and at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Toledo (Medical College of Ohio) and a DMin in Eastern Christian Studies from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Her laboratory interests include molecular biology, radiation biology, and nano-biotechnology, and her science-religion fields include biological evolution, stem cell research, and ecology.
